The Susler Brand Becomes a Little Sweeter

     

With the purchase of Susler, the Candy Group has completed its series of purchases that it began over 2 years ago. Starting with Vesta-Vyatka in September of 2005, and then Jinling in July 2006. These acquisitions put The Candy Group in a very marketable position, with assets and operations in all of the related industries.

Doruk exports over 55% of its appliances to Russia, Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria. Aldo Fumagelli, chairman of the Candy Group, noted that “we conducted long and detailed diligence before giving the green light to the acquisition. It completes our industrial structure, and our market offering in the cooking sector through a range of products particularly aimed at fast developing markets such as Russia and Eastern Europe. Turkey is a rapidly growing economy and is expected to become the fourth main market in Europe for appliances.”

Aggressive promotion, coupled with the rapid expansion, should result in strong earnings for The Candy Group and its associated companies as the markets continue to expand.
