KBB Industry Lowers Impact on the Environment

The KBB industry, like many sectors in the UK, is taking a long hard look at its current working practices to see if it can make them more efficient for the benefit of the planet as well as the customer.

Factories and manufacturing plants are being encouraged to adopt proactive recycling policies to reduce waste and optimise the use of raw materials; helping to keep factory emissions and overheads down.

As for the goods that the factories are creating, a new design aesthetic is being introduced in almost every one; its so called green credentials.

Consumables are being designed to not only provide a great experience and to work efficiently, but to also discourage wastage. Taps and showers, for example, are being designed to make use of every drop of water, facilitating new eco-stops and flow limiters. Toilets are now fitted, as standard, with dual flush mechanisms in an attempt to save water whilst kitchen appliances use less energy when activated and almost none when in stand-by.

The KBB industry, perhaps more than any other, is in a prime position to make a difference in the fight against global warming. The KBB industry, through clever design ideas and efficient manufacturing techniques can help each of its customers lower their own environmental footprint.
