Just as blog communities and social networking sites (such as MySpace) dominated 2006, 2007 is predicted to show a similar growth in niche communities targeted at CAD operators in the fields of interior Design and Industrial Design. This is great news for the legions of skilled virtual interior designers who, until now, have not had an online community that they can feel part of and talk shop; learning from their peers and sharing new computer aided design ideas.

Many of the big CAD Software suppliers are integrating the internet into their design software, allowing designers to export files directly online and to pull code and samples from vast online directories of royalty free work.

This growth in interest and support for online activity can only help to boost the CAD industry as a whole and is being welcomed by the large CAD news groups and associations
